Dixie Sailing Club

Dixie Sailing Club is located on Lake Martin just north of New Hope Church.  Club racing is scheduled almost every weekend from March to November along with an annual Punchbowl Regatta in the spring and Scotalina TuTu/Scow Now Regatta in the fall.  The club also has many social events scheduled throughout the year including potluck dinners and overnight cruising activities.

The club is a member of DIYRA (Dixie Inland Yacht Racing Association) and the U.S. Sailing Association. Races are run under the Rules of the U.S. Sailing Association and use the Portsmouth Handicap, so the different boat classes are scored as equals. The best skipper wins even if he has a slow class boat.
