Next 7 Days: Drought Conditions Intensify

Today, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released a 7-day precipitation forecast. The southeast continental U.S. will remain a high-pressure region and no precipitation is forecasted. The Lake Martin area is currently in D3 - Extreme Drought status.

The burn ban in Alabama remains in effect. There have been more than 1,000 wildfires in Alabama in the month of October burning more than 11,000 acres.
